CSM Kevin P. Nolan joined the U.S. Army, from New Haven, Connecticut, as a Military Policeman (31B) in August 1983. He attended One Station Unit Training in Ft. McClellan, Alabama. CSM Nolan’s assignments include: 4th and 984th MP Co, Ft Carson, CO; 82nd MP Co, Ft Bragg, NC; New Haven Recruiting Co, New Haven CT; 536th MP Co Wildflecken, GE; HHC, 118th and 65th MP Co, Ft Bragg, NC; 13th MP Co, Vicenza, IT; USASMA, Ft Bliss; 503rd MP Bn S3 SGM, Ft. Bragg, NC; CSM for the 97th MP Bn, Ft Riley, KS; CSM for the 1st IN Div DHHB, Ft Riley, KS, Garrison CSM Torii Station, Okinawa, Japan, the Directorate of Plans and Operations SGM USAMPS Ft Leonard Wood and currently serves as the Ft Leonard Wood Garrison CSM. CSM Nolan has served every enlisted position from M60 Machine gunner to CSM.

He is a veteran of Multinational Force Observers, JTF-B, Honduras, Haiti (2) Operations Iraqi Freedom/New Dawn (3). He has served 41 months in direct combat. CSM Nolan’s awards and decorations include Bronze Star (2OLC), Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal (4OLC), Army Commendation Medal (8), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal (4),Good Conduct Medal (8), Iraqi Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, National Defense Service (2), Professional Development Ribbon (Numeral 4), Kosovo Campaign Medal, United Nations Mission Haiti, Multinational Forces Observer, NATO Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Combat Action Badge, Master Parachutist Badge, Gold Recruiter Badge with 3 Star Sapphires and the Recruiter Ring.

Upon retirement in 2015 CSM (ret) Nolan has been a member of the JTilley inc team working transition and education for Soldiers throughout the western half of the United States, assisting Soldiers to further their education as well as prepare for their transitions from the service. His extensive knowledge of US Army Garrison operations has allowed him to easily navigate through both the Education offices as well as work extensively with the Soldier for Life Transition Assistance Program (SFL-TAP)
